Day Trades Versus Swing Trades | Stocks for Breakfast

Is this stock a day trade or a swing trade?

Easily the most common question I get from new members of the boot camp. To fully understand the answer and trade the stock correctly you need to understand order flow and tape reading principles.

Order flow is large buy and sell orders from the institutions. The supply or demand that pushes a stock from $50 to $100. Once we spot these "footprints" we moved to the second step, reading the tape.

Tape reading tells you if now is the right time to buy the stock.

In today's episode of Stocks for Breakfast we discuss the key difference in reading order flow, and reading the tape that shows you how both day trading and swing trading opportunities unfold in the same trade setup.

We also cover why and how all ideas should start out as swing trade setups. From there, it's simply a matter of profit potential and the type of trader you are.
