FOMC Interest Rate Decision | Oracle Earnings Report

FOMC Interest Rate Decision | Oracle Earnings Report

Trading Game Plan

After hundreds of millions of shares traded, and reviewing my P&L like Sherlock Holmes, here's how I trade an FOMC interest rate decision day…

I don't. Yup, that's right, I step aside.

I know, not what you expected but here's the deal. For me, there's too much indecision. Too much hedging. For me it's not a high probability situation.

Should you do the same? I can't say. But I can tell you this, you MUST know the exact, best circumstances that you get paid. Options expiration is another day I don't trade. The day doesn't trade “clean” for me.

Is this a perfect system? Yes. For ME it is.

Review your P&L on Saturdays or the end of the month and see where you get paid, and where you struggle. I'm willing to bet you'll be surprised.

Federal Reserve Seen Signaling Cut by Losing Patience: Decision-Day Guide

Facing pressure from Wall Street and President Donald Trump, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and his colleagues may be running out of patience.

The Federal Open Market Committee is likely to hold interest rates steady on Wednesday while opening the door to a cut — by dropping its commitment to being “patient’’ in its policy statement, according to Bloomberg survey of economists.

The decision will be announced at 2 p.m. and Powell will hold a press conference 30 minutes later.

Cloud Looming? Oracle's Revenue Seen Down In Competitive Atmosphere

Oracle is set to report fiscal Q4 earnings this Wednesday, and many analysts see various competitive pressures potentially weighing on revenue for the second-straight quarter.

Most analysts expect a year-over-year revenue dip, although they also expect earnings per share (EPS) to rise in the company’s fiscal Q4 when the company shares results after Wednesday’s market close.
