With September coming to an end stock trader were treated once again to another 30 days of a trading range. July, August and September each produced a trip to nowhere.

The stock market hates indecision. This leads to lack of commitment by the big money. Which makes it challenging to find easy trades.

Sounds like gloom and doom? No. It's just a message reminding you that we need to trade what we got, not what we want. And that means be patient.

We've been spoiled with the constant bull market and amazing year over year returns. But I'm writing today to traders. Those willing to time the stock market and make picks.

If your holding time is less than 30 days, this is the time to learn tape reading. Bar by bar analysis on the daily charts in a tough market.

When I first began full-time stock trading in April of 2000, there was an office full of millionaires about to get taken to the woodshed. The stock market was about to reverse and the easy money was over.

Most of them made a fortune by averaging down and got bailed out by the internet frenzy, but none of them actually learned how to trade.

Which is why the stock market separated them from their money.

When the market turned bearish we had amazing opportunities on the short side, but those unprepared kept buying, and lost it all.

Am I say be ready to be a seller? No. I'm saying that if you learn to trade, actually hone your craft, that when the market picks a direction, you'll be prepared to scoop up the easy money.

Use this opportunity to learn, not complain.

Have a great day!

Facebook and Amazon executives were 850 miles apart on Wednesday. But they were a lot closer when it came to unveiling their vision for the future of computing.

At an event in San Jose, California, Facebook introduced its plan for augmented reality glasses, where users will be able to pull up a visual display on top of what’s actually in front of them.
